OG Image Generator
Perfect social previews.
How this tool works
OG image is the preview shown when someone shares your URL on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or iMessage. It's the first (sometimes only) visual input people see — a well-designed OG image can triple share CTR.
This generator produces PNGs at exactly 1200×630 (the size Facebook requires and Twitter also uses) with 4 templates: Minimal (centered text), Bold brutal (with top accent stripe), Gradient (gradient background) and Split (color panel on left). Customize title, subtitle, brand, colors and font. Instant PNG output.
Frequently asked questions
- Is 1200×630 the only size?
- It's the Facebook/Twitter standard (1.91:1 ratio). LinkedIn accepts the same. WhatsApp crops to square (keep important content centered). Pinterest prefers vertical 1000×1500 (different size).
- How much text should I put?
- Title: max 60 chars (3 lines at 84px). Subtitle: max 100 chars (2 lines at 36px). More than that gets cut or looks dense.
- Which folder do I put it in?
- /public/og/[slug].png in Next.js. Then in metadata: openGraph.images = [{ url: '/og/my-page.png', width: 1200, height: 630 }].
- What about emojis?
- They work, but render differently across OS (iOS vs Android vs Windows). If your brand depends on exact look, avoid them.
