Disclaimer: Indicative rates, not operational. Argentina and Venezuela have gaps between official, MEP, CCL and blue/parallel rates — we use the official one. For real conversions consult your bank or a real-time service.
How this tool works
LATAM currencies have high volatility — Argentine peso devalued 50%+ in 2024-2025, Colombian peso swings $4,000-5,000 per dollar, Brazilian real reacted strongly to elections. For freelancers, international e-commerce, importers or anyone billing/paying in USD/EUR but operating in local currency, knowing the real exchange instantly is critical.
This converter includes 16 currencies: the 8 main LATAM ones (MXN, COP, ARS, CLP, PEN, BRL, UYU, BOB), the 4 global (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD), 2 Asian (JPY, CNY) and 2 extra European (CHF, MXN). Indicative rates updated 2026-04-24. For real transactions verify with your bank — interbank spread is usually 1-3% worse than official rate.
Frequently asked questions
- Are rates real-time?
- No — they're indicative, updated 2026-04-24. For day-trading or large transfers, use your bank's rate or a provider like Wise/Remitly.
- Why does Argentina have 'official' and 'blue' rates?
- Argentina has currency controls since 2019. 'Official' is the rate allowed by central bank; 'blue' is the parallel market (where most freelancers bill USD). Difference can be 80-100%.
- How do I bill USD while living in LATAM?
- Wise (USD multi-currency account, 1% commission). Payoneer (pricier but supports marketplaces). Deel/Remote (employer of record, withholds taxes). Crypto/USDT on local exchanges (higher risk).
- And taxes?
- Mexico: pay ISR on USD income valued at day's exchange. Colombia: declare at TRM. Argentina: USD income may have 35% perception (Income Tax prepayment). Brazil: imposto de renda on currency gain.
