Reality check: The original Creator Fund (legacy, 2021) paid $0.02β0.04 per 1000 views. The new Creativity Program pays 20β40Γ more, but only videos 1+ minute qualify.
TikTok Pulse pays only the top 4% of creators and only in select countries. Brand deals and Live gifts typically pay 5β10Γ more than the algorithm.
How this tool works
How much does TikTok pay per 1 million views is the search that defines both the dream and frustration of most creators. The reality: it fully depends on which program you're enrolled in. TikTok offers three separate programs with payouts that differ up to 50Γ between them, and most creators don't even know which one they're in.
The original Creator Fund (launched 2020) pays ridiculously little β between $20 and $40 USD per million views. It's being deprecated in US and UK but remains active in LATAM. The Creativity Program Beta (launched 2024, requires 1+ minute videos) pays 20β30Γ more: $400β1,000 USD per million. And TikTok Pulse is brand revenue share, reserved for the top 4% of creators in each vertical, with RPMs up to $1,500/M.
This calculator shows how much you'd earn in each program based on your real monthly views, verifies whether you meet the eligibility minimums (10K followers + 100K views in 30 days + 18 years old + eligible country) and compares the most strategic decision right now: should you stay in Creator Fund or migrate to Creativity Program by making long-form videos? For channels with 1M+ views/month, the monthly difference is hundreds of dollars.
If you're in LATAM (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia): the data is raw. Creativity Program hasn't arrived to your region yet and Creator Fund pays pennies. The winning strategy is using TikTok purely as a funnel to platforms that monetize properly: drive traffic to YouTube (50β500Γ higher RPM), Instagram (commercial DMs), your own newsletter or affiliate links. The calculator also models this scenario.
Formula
Creator Fund: Eligible views Γ $0.02β0.04 / 1,000 Β· Creativity Program: Views on 1+ min videos Γ $0.40β1.00 / 1,000 Β· Pulse: Premium views Γ $1.00β1.50 / 1,000 (top 4% only). 'Eligible views' deducts country, copyright, minimum watch time and account status.
How to use it, step by step
- 1
1. Verify your eligibility
You must meet simultaneously: 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days, 18+ years old and reside in an eligible country (US, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, JP, AU, CA, KR). Without this, you don't enter any program.
- 2
2. Identify which program you're in
Open TikTok app β Profile β Creator tools β Creator earnings. It tells you exactly: Creator Fund, Creativity Program Beta or none. This defines the applicable RPM.
- 3
3. Enter your monthly views
Sum total views from the last 30 days from Analytics. If your month was volatile (one viral changed everything), average the last 3 months.
- 4
4. Filter eligible views
Only complete views of public, non-shadowbanned, copyright-free videos in eligible countries count. The calculator auto-deducts ~30% by default. Adjust if your audience is 100% LATAM (larger deduction).
- 5
5. Compare programs side by side
Output shows parallel income in Creator Fund vs Creativity Program (assuming your videos qualify at 1+ min). If the gap is huge and you're in Creator Fund: redo strategy toward long-form ASAP.
- 6
6. Model the 'TikTok as funnel' scenario
If you're in LATAM (not eligible for Creativity), the calculator estimates how much your traffic is worth if redirected: 1% click-to-YouTube Γ your YouTube RPM + 0.5% click-to-affiliate Γ $30 average commission. Spoiler: usually 5β10Γ more than Creator Fund.
Use cases
- Decide whether it's worth migrating from short videos (15s) to long (60s+) to enter the Creativity Program
- Calculate how many views/month you need for TikTok alone to give you a livable salary (~$2,000+ USD)
- Compare TikTok vs YouTube vs Instagram Reels for the same content: which pays you better per view
- Justify investing in higher-end production (lights, pro editing) if the calculator shows ROI with 1+ min duration
- Model the 'LATAM creator' scenario: how much you get from Creator Fund alone and how much if you redirect 2% of traffic to YouTube
- Pitch brands with data: 'TikTok pays me $X creator fund, my sponsorship should cost 10Γ more than that'
- Decide whether to keep the TikTok channel or migrate 100% of effort to YouTube/IG
Common pitfalls
- Thinking Creator Fund and Creativity Program pay similarly: there's a 20β30Γ gap. If you're still in Creator Fund, you're losing ~95% of possible revenue
- Comparing your RPM to US creators: US vs LATAM gap on TikTok is brutal because advertisers buy ad space there. Your RPM will always be 3β5Γ lower
- Trusting guru projections: most use US Creativity Program data and present it as a global benchmark. LATAM reality is 10Γ worse
- Not measuring minimum watch-time: TikTok deducts views that don't hit the threshold (variable per program, ~5s on Creator Fund, higher on Creativity). 1M raw views can be 700K eligible
- Ignoring the funnel: many LATAM creators get angry at TikTok's RPM when they could get 10Γ more by redirecting 1% of traffic to YouTube/web/affiliate
- Expecting consistent payouts: TikTok adjusts the pool daily, same video can pay differently across weeks. $0.02β1.00/1K are ranges, not guarantees
- Not verifying real eligibility: many creators think they 'monetize' when they only enabled LIVE gifts. Creator Fund/Creativity Program are separate things with their own requirements
Frequently asked questions
- How much does TikTok pay per 1 million views in 2026?
- Creator Fund: $20β40. Creativity Program (1+ min videos): $400β1,000. TikTok Pulse (top 4%): up to $1,500. The gap is huge β that's why long-form pays off if you qualify.
- Why is TikTok's RPM so low compared to YouTube?
- TikTok doesn't insert in-feed ads (unlike YouTube). Revenue comes from a fixed pool divided across eligible creators. More creators competing = lower per-view pay. YouTube pays per real ad served; TikTok splits a fixed pie.
- What about Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and other LATAM countries?
- Creativity Program is not available in LATAM yet. Only Creator Fund (very low pay: $20β40 per million). Winning strategy: monetize via direct brand deals (commercial DMs), affiliate links in bio, redirect traffic to YouTube/IG/own site where RPM is 10β100Γ better.
- How many views do I need to live off TikTok alone?
- To make $3,000 USD/month: in Creator Fund you need 75β150M views/month (unrealistic for almost everyone). In Creativity Program (US/UK), ~3β7M views/month on 1+ min videos. That's why it's so rare for anyone to live 'on TikTok alone' outside the top 1%.
- What are the Creator Fund eligibility requirements?
- Four simultaneous requirements: 1) 10,000 followers, 2) 100,000 views in the last 30 days, 3) 18+ years old, 4) account in eligible country (US, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, JP, AU, CA, KR). Without all four, no entry. Business account: depends on country.
- What is the Creativity Program and how do I join?
- It's the replacement for Creator Fund with 20β30Γ better payouts. Requirements: same as Creator Fund + videos at least 1 minute long. Manual migration: in the app, Creator tools β Creativity Program β Switch over. Once migrated, you can't return to original Creator Fund.
- What is TikTok Pulse?
- Pulse is revenue share where TikTok splits premium ad revenue (ads served next to top-tier content) with creators in the top 4% of their vertical. Invitation-only and requires business account + approved niche. Pays up to $1,500 per million premium views.
- Do LIVE gifts count as Creator Fund earnings?
- No. LIVE gifts and Creator Fund are completely separate. LIVE gifts are direct audience donations (TikTok keeps 50% as processing). Creator Fund is pay per view. You can have one without the other. Creator Fund earnings show in Creator tools β Earnings.
- How do I raise my RPM on TikTok fast?
- Five levers with measurable effect: 1) Migrate to Creativity Program if you qualify (1+ min videos) β this alone multiplies RPM 20Γ. 2) Attract US/UK/CA audience with English captions. 3) Post during US peak hours (8β10pm EST). 4) Avoid content flagged 'inappropriate' or copyright. 5) Maintain high watch-time (videos retaining 70%+ pay better).
- When and how does TikTok pay?
- TikTok pays 16thβ31st of the month following the one you earned, via PayPal (default) or bank account in supported countries. Minimum withdrawal threshold: $10 USD. If you earn less, it rolls over. Earnings appear in Creator tools β Earnings. Important: TikTok may delay your first payment up to 30 extra days for KYC verification.
